- Contact us for a complimentary, no-obligation consultation with one of our Profhilo UK specialists who will ensure you’re a suitable candidate for the treatment, assess your concerns and talk you through the procedure in detail and the results you might expect to see.
- If you decide to go ahead with the treatment, your aesthetics consultant will provide you with some instructions on how to prepare prior Profhilo treatment – don’t worry, these are straightforward and just advise to avoid certain things like drinking alcohol the night before.
- When you arrive on the day, your personal consultant will welcome you into one of our luxury, comfortable treatment rooms and begin by examining the treatment area to identify areas to avoid (such as skin lesions, blood vessels, moles etc.). Your consultant will then gently cleanse the skin with an anti-microbial solution, removing any make-up and dirt so the area is clean and ready to inject.
- 10 injection points are measured and marked across the area.
- 0.2ml of Profhilo is injected using a 29G needle into the deep dermis-superficial subcutaneous layer of each point. Each injection takes less than 5 seconds to administer.
- Once treatment is complete, your consultant will provide you with a firming cream to take home and full aftercare instructions. Now, you’re ready to book in your second treatment, 4 weeks later.

Here’s some general guidance:
- Avoid waxing, bleaching or hair removal cream which could irritate the treatment area.
- In the week leading up to the treatment, avoid blood-thinning and anti-inflammatory
medication, such as aspirin or ibuprofen. It’s also recommended to avoid taking supplements during this time too, such as multivitamins, St. John’s Wort, Gingko Bilboa, primrose oil, garlic, ginseng, and Vitamin E. - In the days leading up to the treatment, avoid using harsh, active topicals like Reti
nol, Retinoids or Glycolic Acid.
After Profhilo Treatment
After your Profhilo treatment, your consultant will take you through your aftercare programme and provide you with a cream to help further tone and hydrate the skin.
Here’s some general guidance:
- For 24 hours after the treatment avoid wearing make-up to keep the injection sites clean and free from dirt.
- Avoid saunas, steam rooms, swimming and any exercise for 24 hours post-treatment.
